    #10 – Summary/Conclusion

A: Speaking: Recap benefits of Env Stewardship/Justice as focus of SJ program:

    - Grounded in UU principles, embodies our values
-Integrates with other social justice issues
    -Addresses causes, not just symptoms
    -Inspires self-transformation, commitment to action
-Builds on proven Green Sanctuary model
-Provides opportunities for engagement at all levels
-Creates visibility and platform for UUCC leadership and expertise in broader community

B: Visual/Other: Something that visualizes UUCC as a beacon of progressive thought and action?

    I visualize a hokey picture:

a steep, tree-covered hill whose vertical dimension illustrates the indiv/congregation/ community continuum, at the top of which is a short light house shining on a nearby urban cluster (with “red” and “green” towers).

    I said it was hokey!

Hokey, but I understand. I also thought about lighthouse imagery but it seemed too much of a mixed metaphor!
